Fermentation technology to produce Flavomycin

1. Product introduction

Flavomycin is known also with the following names: moenomycin, flavophospholipol and bambermycins. It is an antibiotic complex with four main molecules,moenomycins A, B1, B2 and C. In our technology the producer is a Streptomyces bambergiensis related strain.

2. Use

It is utilized only for the animal nutrition. Antibacterial growth promoter, it is one of the few permitted feed additives for poultry, calves and swines causing no cross resistance against human antibiotics. 

3. Performance Values

Final titre: 13±2g/lt

Fermentation time: 148 ± 24hrs

 Recovery yield: ≥92%
