Erythromycin production technology

1. Product Presentation

The product was produced by submerged fermentation of Streptomyces (Saccharopolyspora) erythraeus. Purification based on membrane technology, precipitation of antibiotic in solvent as lactate, thiocyanate, or base.

2. Use

- Human use: orally as base, estolate, stearate. Parental as ethyl succinate, gluceptate.

- Animal feed supplement as crude thiocyanate

- ERY A is the product. Others are impurities (maximum acceptable level 5%).

Strain and technological know how for fermentation and recovery is available through Coway:

Final titre: 9 + 0.5 g/lt

Fermentation time: 150+ 24 hrs.

Recovery as Thiocyanate: 85 + 3 %

Recovery as Base: 84 + 2 %
