2. Strain Classification

TACROLIMUS is produced through fermentation of a special strain of Streptomyces tsukubaensis, modified by chemical (nitroso guanidine) and physical agent (U.V. radiation).

3. Technology

Fermentation titre: 1.5 g/l

Fermentation time: 240±24hrs

Recovery yield: 70 %
