1. Physical Property of L-Tyrosine

Structural formula:

L- Tyrosine, a non-essential amino acids for mammals, is an aromatic α amino acid containing a polar phenolic hydroxyl group, and also ketogenic and glucogenic amino acids. 

2. Application of L-Tyrosine

a. L-Tyrosine is used in cosmetic — by studying the synthesis of the tyrosinase structural analogs can effectively inhibit the production of melanin.

b. L-Tyrosine is used in medicine — tyrosine is used to treat chronic fatigue and vitiligo. Tyrosine also can be used as hyperthyroidism, and synthesize peptide hormones, antibiotics, L-dopamine, etc.

c. L-Tyrosine is used in feedstuff.

d. L-Tyrosine can be used in the research of agricultural science — it can be formulated as beverage additives and artificial insects feed.

3. Technology 

Tyrosine is produced by combination of fermentation and enzymatic production process.
