Technology for Heparanase and LMWH Production

1. Product Presentation

Heparin is one of the most widely and effectively used anticoagulant agent, but it has pretty strong side effect. Low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) is some components left by heparin separation or small fragments produced by scission of heparin, which can overcome some of the side effects of heparin and still remain the anticoagulant activity, so low molecular weight heparin is widely used in clinical application.

Heparanase has many important medical usages, among which the most important one is to produce the low molecular weight heparin. Compare to the methods of physical separation and Chemical Cleavage, the reaction condition of enzymatic production of LMWH is mild with high yield, environmentally friendly, and easy to implement the continuous production. Therefore, the high effect and low cost of heparanase production always gets people’s attention.
