Nosiheptide was originally isolated from Steptomyces actuous in the early 1960s by the French Scientist Nosiheptide is a sulfur-containning polypeptide antibiotic, quite different from all the other members of this family. It si an excellent non-absorbing type feed additives, added it to the feed does not affect the palatability. It significantly promotes the growth of pigs, chickens, ducks, shrimp and freshwater fish and other aquatic animals, improves feed efficiency and shows a favorable effect on the growth and conversion index. France an Japan have been formally put it on the market as feed additie, benefits are considerable. It was approved as a veterinary antibiotic in recent years in China, it has been more widely used in animal busbandry as feed additives.
